Tomáš Verner is one of the most successful Czech figure skaters. In 2008, he became the European champion and during his competitive career, he repeatedly placed among the best at the World Championships and the Winter Olympics, where he represented the Czech Republic in Turin (2006), Vancouver (2010) and Sochi (2014). After ending his active career, he began to devote himself fully to coaching. For the past three years, he has been an intern with one of the world's most respected coaches, Rafal Aratunian, in the United States. He is now the head coach at the Tomáš Verner Academy, where he shares his experience with children and young skaters.
