We’re coming back from Oberstdorf filled with joy and pride! Medals for ATV!

From June 29 to July 4, the German town of Oberstdorf hosted the traditional ISU International Adult Competition – the world’s largest gathering of figure skating enthusiasts across all age groups. This year, for the first time, two skaters from the Tomáš Verner Academy (ATV) joined the competitive lineup, and their debut was fantastic!

Ingrid Stegmannová – Silver elegance in Gold Women III
Ingrid delivered a technically and artistically balanced free skate, earning a total score of 48.54 points from the judges.
Technical elements (TES 9.16):
Clean opening with 1Lz + 1T combination.
A 1F + 1Eu + 1S triple jump combo added difficulty and flow.
Solid solo jumps (1F, 1Lz, 1Lo).
Good-quality spin combinations, including a layback spin.
Program components (PCS 39.38):
Composition 4.75 – thoughtful use of the ice and musical phrasing.
Presentation 5.08 – expressive energy and confident audience connection.
Skating skills 4.92 – clean edges and smooth gliding across the rink.
A beautiful silver medal, just 2.27 points behind the winner from Germany.
Alyona Shevchenko – Bronze beauty in the artistic category
Alyona (listed as Olena in official results) competed in the artistic discipline, where performance quality and musical interpretation take center stage. With 10.00 points, she claimed a bronze medal.
Program components:
Composition 3.42 – emotionally crafted story with clear highlights.
Presentation 3.25 – charismatic and musical performance.
Skating skills 3.33 – graceful glide and clean turns.
She captured the hearts of the judges and the audience, earning a spot on the podium alongside skaters from Japan and Germany.
Coach's words:
"Both ladies proved that passion and dedication know no age. Their success shows that our training system at ATV works for adult skaters too," said the head coach.
